Hi ND Martin, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music?
I’m a singer-songwriter based in Dundee, Scotland.
Formerly of a alternative rock band called The Violent Whispers, who left to pursue solo projects after becoming a Christian. Released my debut album From Fear to Faith last year and am continuing to work on new music.
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released November 3, 2023. This song was written about someone dear to me who floats through life without considering the bigger questions – where am I going? What happens when you die? Is there a God? How can I know Him? That sort of thing.
What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
As a Christian, I’m someone that believes that it’s crucial to confront where we are in our relationship with God.
We live in the modern age, where everything is designed to distract you from the bigger questions; more and more ways to distract your mind, less and less time spent reflecting on what really matters.

What is your favorite part of this body of work?
I love writing and recording songs – the process for me is where the real fun is. I do like getting to a final product but promotion can be frustrating!
Future releases? Upcoming events?
I’ve got lots of new songs that I need to record properly; the hope is that we will have a second album out in the next year or so. In the short term, I also have a couple more collaborations I’m working on, so looking forward to that.
