As a content creator, it is important to keep your audience engaged on social media.
Creating content that makes people want to come back to your channel and that people enjoy watching can lead to a lasting channel. Today Iโm going to be giving my tips on how to keep your audience engaged on YouTube.
1. Post videos weekly.
Choosing a day of the week to post on YouTube is a great way of engaging your audience. One of the content creators I watch regularly, posts on Wednesdays and so I know that day a new video will be out and I get excited to watch. Getting people hyped for a day of the week is a great way to ensure audience engagement to your channel.
I would recommend posting a short everyday or every other day but posting longer video content once a week on a day is a great way to keep your audience watching your content.
2. Post on the community section.
Posting sneak peaks, pictures and posts about your general life is a great way to keep people engaged on YouTube.
If you cannot post one week or need a few weeks to catch up on content it is also good to announce on the community section. This way your fans can write comments, give their feedback in general rather than on a specific video. You can also ask questions, ask them what content theyโd like to see and reply back to fans and chat to them on the community section too. This is a great way to keep people engaged on your channel.
3. Ask questions using polls.
Another great way to keep people engaged on your channel is asking questions using polls. People can vote for what they want to see and that way you also have ideas of what to post. For example you could ask something like โbehind the scenes video or a new cover of a song videoโ and then people can vote for what they actually want to see. Polls are quick and easy for people to click and answer so Iโd recommend using them more on your channel.
4. Use eye catching thumbnails on your videos.
Creating more eye catching thumbnails is a great way to keep your audience engaged. If you channel looks great, people are more likely to follow it or come back to it. I have clicked on videos before because I think โoh that looks cool I wonder what that isโ this can also be to do with the caption, so make sure your title is also engaging.
Adding bits on the end like โwith a twistโ or โnever heard beforeโ often engages people to listen/watch covers you are playing. Getting peoples attention in the first place can be difficult, so give yourself the best chance by getting cool thumbnails, hiring a professional to make them for you if you canโt do it yourself is also a good idea.
5. Post engaging content.

The best way to keep your audience engaged is to create great content that makes them watch for longer, watch again and come back to your channel. If you have create a cosy covers channel, posting a random heavy metal cover probably wouldnโt be the best move as people have gotten to know your cosy channel and want to see more chilled covers. Make sure your channel has a theme and run with it. Make sure your videos are creative, have a nice setting and feel to them and then give the videos a title that will make people want to watch.
Thank you so much for reading, I hope these tips help you to keep your audience engaged as much as possible on YouTube!
