Making a content creation schedule will help you organise your content creation…
and posting and keep you on track to ensure that you post regularly and that you are posting great content. Planning out your schedule and when you post content is a great idea and has been something Iโve been doing over the years to make sure that I post on time and that I have made content ready to go.
Today Iโll be giving you tips that helped me when I was making my content creation schedule and the steps I took to ensure I succeeded in planning and posting.
1. Create a calendar template
The first thing I did when I was planning my content schedule was to print off a calendar of the year month by month. That way I could keep myself accountable and mark the days that I could create content and post it. If you are away or busy at any point too this can be marked on the calendar to ensure that you make more content and schedule the posting of this content the week before.
On my social media I post every few days and I line it up to do so with the captions and tags already written and then I donโt have to worry.
For YouTube I always post on Fridays and so I write that on my calendar and then I know its done and posted. Being able to visually see what needs posting when is vital to making sure to create a good content creation schedule.
2. Get a content schedule app
I have an app called Buffer which schedules all of my posts, you can also pre-schedule posts on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, which helps if you are away because that way you can set up content to post when you are out of office. Scheduling posts for the week can be really time saving and it helps you make sure everything is set up and ready to go.
I love scheduling my posts, I do it every Monday and I make sure that I have down what I need to post to, if a vlog is coming out I post about it the day before and link people to my channel. If I am releasing a single I post about pre-saving every few days to ensure that people know. Getting an app to help you with this is a very good way to plan your weeks, there are lots of options online, pick the one that is best for you.

3. Make sure you are up to date with creating content and have enough lined up
Making sure that you have enough content every week is also vital to ensure you are keeping up with your schedule. If you run out of ideas and weeks or months go by and you havenโt posted this can really throw you off and harm your engagement online. If you post a video every Friday thatโs four ideas needed each month, writing these down and making sure that you create content around it for your platforms will make sure that you have a good content creation schedule.
Set aside days to actually make content, to do write ups and come up with ideas, for example, make Tuesdays your brainstorm day, where you can sit and come up with ideas and then this will help you create your content for the week or month. These are the best tips I have to help with your content creation schedule, lining things up is important but itโs also wise to plan your days and weeks effectively. If you arenโt sure if you have enough time one week, if you can use old content, do it.
I have posted old covers before because I havenโt had chance to make new ones and they still do well and posting โThrowback to thisโ is always a great way to bring some old content back.
Thank you so much for reading todays blog on how to make a content creation schedule. I hope these tips help you with your content!
