Romantic, heartfelt, and moving!
Inspirational PWD singer-songwriter and Cre8Music Records‘ artist Melissa Corpus releases her much awaited album, “Serye” on December 15, 2023.
Serye is a nine-track album that journeys through different phases of our lives. The first three songs of the album, focus on the thrilling part of our lives—falling in love. “Ansabe”, Melissa’s most streamed song on Spotify, is a catchy acoustic song that appeals to those who are still single and often teased by famiy / friends on when they are going to tie the knot. “Tahanan” and “Ikaw ang Pinili” are both heartfelt wedding songs that express the joy and unexpected journey of finally finding the one to spend their lifetime with.
The songs from track four to six are all emotional and reflect the agony of breaking up. “Huling Tagpo” is inspired by Melissa’s own story of closure. “Paumanhin”, the focus track of the album, penned by Daj Santiago, will touch those who are willing to move on and let go of a love that has already been tainted. The track tells us that we should not cling to what is not meant for us. God has something better planned for us. “Senyales,” meanwhile, takes us to the part where we can already notice the signs of a crumbling relationship. Will you let go, or hold for love?
The seventh track, “Kapit Lang,” is an inspirational song that empowers us to hold on to our faith. It invites us to make time to those who are already on the edge of their lives. Another tear-jerker song, “Kamusta Ka sa Langit” resonates to everyone who longs to have precious moments again with their dear departed.
The ninth track, “Munting Hiling – Bonus Track” is a dramatic song for those who are scared to reveal their feelings because it might destroy the friendship, or the love may not be reciprocated.
