I’m Jay Abordo, a singer-songwriter and Mabuhay Music Group artist based in Palawan, Philippines. I believe that there are no boundaries between styles or eras. I love creating a sound that is idiosyncratic and personal.
My favorite artist is Ed Sheeran, who influenced me the most when it comes to creating music.

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released on November 24, 2023. ISAAM is a romantic song where a man expresses his love for a woman he admires, describing her as beautiful and perfect.
“ISAAM” which stands for “Ikaw Sa Akin ay Mahalaga” or “You Are Important To Me” in English, is not just a love song for your significant other. It can also be a song for someone who you consider the most important person in your life. For me, that’s my family.
What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
It’s important to learn how to love someone, even if they are unable to reciprocate the same level of affection.
What is your favorite part of this body of work?
The word “Ikaw Sa Akin Ay Mahalaga.”
