BGYO, the rising P-pop boy group from Star Music PH, has emerged as a game-changer in the local music scene with their latest hit song, “Patintero.” They are slowly making their mark globally as “Patintero” is currently charting in Hong Kong, Philippines (New Music Friday), Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and UAE, reaching #1 on various music platform charts. It’s also making waves in New Zealand and Norway.
To honor their three years in the industry, the talented five-piece ensemble threw a heartwarming event for their fans, ACES. Following the grand poster reveal, the group organized an intimate gathering called “BONFIR3” on January 27th at Teatrino, Promenade in Greenhills. This event was designed to foster a stronger bond between BGYO members and their supporters. It was an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and thank their fans for their unwavering support throughout the years.
The catchy “Patintero” track is inspired by the popular Filipino game that has been passed down through generations. Written by John Michael Conchada and Julius James “Jumbo” De Belen of FlipMusic, the lyrics highlights the obstacles we encounter and how we make choices in our journey in pursuit of our dreams.

The beautiful catchy beat and energetic rhythm of the song will make you want to dance, and you’ll find yourself humming it all day long (LSS factor).
BGYO‘s “Patintero” MV is very competitive in terms of visuals, production, and vocal dynamics. The boys are oozing with charm and infectious energy! We also have to credit the choreography, and stylish sporty-preppy fashion.
Gelo shares, “Whether you win or lose, what matters is that you enjoy the process and play the game like a sport. The song emphasizes the importance of being happy and positive, no matter what life throws at you.”
You can also listen to BGYO’s “Bulalakaw“, released last year as a tribute to their fans (ACES). This song is actually my favorite because its very heartfelt and it’s a song of showing appreciation to those who have supported our journey.
On January 27, BGYO members, Gelo Rivera, Nate Porcalla, Mikki Claver, Akira Morishita, and JL Toreliza celebrated their third anniversary in the industry with their fans, ACES, at an intimate gathering called “BONFIR3.” The celebration was held at the Teatrino in Promenade, Greenhills—an event to show appreciated to their fans who have supported them throughout their journey so far.
