THE STORY BEHIND ORANGE NIGHTS
During the height of the pandemic, Jonah sought out online collaborations with producers to hone her melody-writing skills. Previously more focused on lyrics, she was eager to explore new musical dimensions.
Enter Finnish producer J.s.R. Together, they crafted three of her remarkable songs: โPretty Garden,โ โFallen Flower,โ and the current gem, โOrange Nights.โ
The original melody for โOrange Nightsโ underwent a transformation. When Jonah heard J.s.Rโs instrumental (initially titled โIn My Memoriesโ), she knew that a vocal melody that resonates with beach vibes and the bittersweet aftermath of a breakup is the best fit.
“I’m sorry for walking away from something real,
Oh, oh, I miss you…”
Jonah shares that “Orange Nights” was created with a calming vibes that will help you reflect and realize that it’s okay to feel all sorts of emotions after a breakup. It could be both sweet and sour, like an orange. All in all, our feelings are valid.
