Sandra North captivates us with her latest “Long Time Coming” EP!

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Hi welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.

My name is Sandra North and I’m a country singer-songwriter from Sweden.

Seeing as I was raised in a small town on the countryside back home, it didn’t take much to fall in love with the country genre upon my first visits to America. I decided to come to LA and test my wings as an artist about 6 years ago and just kept on singing and writing songs and here we are. I have a great songwriting partnership with my guitarist/producer Juan Abella and together now, we’ve written a 5 song EP that is finally available for the world to hear!

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this EP?

This is a project that took almost 3 years to complete.

Released on August 27 2021. We wrote our first song off of the album, “Try Again”, in the fall of 2018. It was released the following fall of 2019 and received great praise and chart placements on the radio in Sweden. We just continued to write and released another two singles, “Same Story ‘Bout a Broken Heart” and “You” during 2020.

We had been writing and recording a couple more and I combined them all on an EP as a collection. “Long Time Coming” became the title seeing as that is exactly how I feel about these songs! They waited a lifetime to be let out.

What is your vision for this body of work?

I always write from the heart.

These songs are all very personal to me with their own very unique and real story behind them. I hope to take the listener on an intimate journey, from heartbreaks to disappointments, to finding love and going after your dreams!

I wish to impart both happiness and excitement, strength to believe in yourself and wisdom to let go of things that aren’t good for you. It’s the best feeling in the world whenever I get to hear that someone can relate to my words. It’s just indescribable, then I’ve succeeded.

What is your favorite part of this EP?

They’re all my babies with different unique qualities and special parts.

I have so many favorite parts of each and every one of these songs on the EP. I simply can’t pick. Every song has come to life in its own way too so they all have a significant place in my heart and represent a memorable moment in time.

Anything else we should know about it? Future releases? Upcoming events?:

I will shortly release a music video for the featured single off of the album, called “My Song”. I hope to have it out by the end of the month. There will also be some live interviews and podcasts to look for so make sure to follow on social media to stay up to date! There’s always something going on!
