Sensational, Confessional and full of Emotions !
Ben & Ben, a nine part band reunited with Moira, the Philippine’s “Queen of Emotions” with a confessional single entitled ‘Pasalubong’. The title itself actually means a gift or to meet. Both of which are derived from a Tagalog word which is a dialect in the Philippines.
Ben & Ben explains;
“The track is a play on both these meanings”.
This collaborated single managed to touch the hearts of so many in the aspect of friendship, love, time and the journey that comes with it. The words in the song is beautifully threaded together with a melody that compliments the lyrics that helps you create a story out of the experience one may have gone through.
Moira expressed;
“It isn’t so common anymore today to say what you mean. So I love that after a whole song of poetry, we end with the simplest but scariest lines to say, Gusto Kita (I like you).”
Whichever your understanding of love is, watch the hitmaker and pop folklore band bring us together their beautiful interpretation of a genuine confession.

This single has made waves and there were so many interpretations that the listeners as well as the fans have managed to gather. In fact, Philippines biggest fast food chain, Jollibee managed to tap on it and made a beautiful short movie entitled ‘One True Pair’. Given it was a marketing move but the story that came with it managed to amplify the true possible meaning of the song ‘Pasalubong’.
