Anlil expresses the hard truth with “Young Heart”

LA Music Review | Art, stories and advice

Heart breaking and hauntingly beautiful!

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Hi Anlil, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.

I’m ANLIL, a singer songwriter and producer known to be a tell-all storyteller. I write hauntingly beautiful and cinematic stories with a dark driven tone and a smoky rustic voice.

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?

I honestly wanted this song to talk about the other side of a toxic break up, the heartbreaker’s side.

Released on May 3, 2022. It’s never really easy to let someone go, especially when you feel it’s over before its been put to an end. Humans can turn cold in that moment; I know I’ve been there, and that was the focal point for this song. Hurt people will eventually burn those around them.

What is your vision for this song?

The vision is to make aware a story that’s not so spoken about and expressed. I know I’ve been on both ends of the story and there’s no good feeling from either.

What is your favorite part of this body of work?

I love that I was able to work with my talented friends from Toronto.

I had recorded this in the studio with Sunny Diamonds in Toronto and producer Error404 absolutely killed the whole beat and production of this record.

Anything else we should know about it? Future releases?

I packed my stuff in the midst of the pandemic last year and moved from Toronto to California, it’s been such an exciting time since and I’m set to play a show on June 22 and have a new song releasing that day as well!
