LA Music Review | Art, stories and advice
Fun, upbeat and simply nostalgic!

Hi Ericka, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
I’m a Los Angeles-based songwriter & vocalist born in Chennai, India.
I grew up with a background in musical theatre and was also a part of an all-girls A Capella group before moving out to Los Angeles. Upon graduating with a degree in Psychology I made the leap to pursue a career in music by attending Musicians Institute in Hollywood where I met my now producer, Katsuya Sezaki.
Things that I like to focus on with my music is the need to connect with listeners through genuine emotion.
I’d like to believe that there is really no limit to my fervent imagination and vivid creativity with some of my biggest inspirations being The Beatles, Tom Misch, Jacob Collier, Yebba & Dodie.

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released on June 11, 2022. The song was written and produced to reflect simpler and happier times that we tend to take for granted.
What is your vision for this song?
I like to think of it as an easy-breezy summer jam that awakens our happy-go-lucky selves.
To remind listeners to not take life too seriously and to remember the simplicity of life when we were younger and the joy that came with it.
What is your favorite part of this body of work?
I really can’t pick one thing. I love that the arrangement is so harmonically rich with the vocal harmonies and the mellower synths. I’m also a big fan of the bass line and the oomph that it adds to the song.
Anything else we should know about it? Future releases? Upcoming events?
Watch out for live performances over the next couple of months. I’m also back in the studio working on more music that can be expected in the Fall!
