LA Music Review | Art, stories and advice
Raw, honest and truly remarkable!

Hi Genre Peak, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
Genre Peak is an art-rock recording project from Sacramento, California.
We collaborate with musicians and singers from around the world. Martin Birke and Aaron Kinney are back with our first new release in 6 years, ‘Psychopathy’. 8 new tracks of introspection and transcendence.
We’ve previously collaborated with such famous artists as Steve Jansen, Richard Barbieri, Mick Karn, Jon Hassell, Dean Garcia and many others over our 16 year, 5 album history. We’ve toured Germany in 1998 as “Casualty Park”and managed a radio show on KW0D FM.
We started out scoring for The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Complexions Ballet Co. in NY and filmmaker Joe Carnahan (Blood,Guts,Bullets and Octane/Narc) and documentary Isabela: A Green Explorer Expedition (2016).
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released on July 5, 2022. My fear of not accomplishing enough in life, not saying my mind, not writing enough.
