Hi Bullfrog Smoochie, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.

Malolos, Bulacan-grown independent band Bullfrog Smoochie

is an up-and-coming group in the independent music scene. Not confined to a single genre, our band hopes to tell stories about love, life, loss, wins, and everything in between. We aim to seek the release of stories about our mundane existence.

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?

Released on July 31, 2022. Written by our main composer, Jaycee Natividad, the song aims to invalidate other people’s baseless judgments and made-up stories about someone. There’s a line on the song that goes “Feet are stuck on the ground, it’s getting harder to move along, forgotten the point all along.” This represents one’s anxiety from being under a bad reputation, especially at a young age, over and over again.

What is your vision for this song?

We wanted to show everyone that even though there are endless judgments everywhere, IT IS OKAY.

Cry about it, but make sure at the end of the day, you dust yourself off and stay true to yourself. Others’ opinions of you SHOULD NOT MATTER.
