LA Music Review | Art, stories and advice
Raw, upbeat and truly empowering!

Hi Dirk, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
Dirk Acacia is a ukulele musician and singer-songwriter from Metro Manila, Philippines.
Taking his real life nickname “Dirk” and “Acacia” from a lyrics in his song “Nanlamig,” hence the artist name was finalized.
He takes influences from international metalcore and post-hardcore bands and local OPM acts such as Vanz Bonaobra and Bullet Dumas, he has been able to create his own brand of music from the mixture of both genres using the ukulele.
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
I took inspiration from my own struggles back then in 2018.
Released on September 25, 2022. I repeatedly said to myself that whatever struggles that I may encounter, they shall soon pass and will not be permanent. This has been my inner voice.
