Hi Jhun, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
Hello, I’m Jhun Esguerra! I’m a singer-songwriter and arranger from Naga City, Camarines Sur. I started to write songs in 2013. Then I posted these songs via YouTube during the pandemic (2020). My musical influences are Spongecola, Mayonnaise, and Davey Langit. My compositions are generally inspired by 90’s vibes, pop, and alternative pop/rock.

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released on November 15, 2022. The song “Baliw na Baliw ang Puso Ko” is included on my album, “Love Confessions“. This is very challenging for me, but worth it at the same time. I’m happy that I was able to accomplish this.
The album is composed of 15 songs, which generally tackle the following topics: how a young “torpedo” (young men who don’t know how to approach the girls they like) falls in love, how to be rejected/dumped, and have realizations on his long-time best friend that he’ll eventually get to spend the rest of his life with. Many can relate to this album because of its true-to-life stories.
What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
My vision for this project is to inspire more independent musicians that a lack of resources is not a hindrance in creating a song. Music is everything. Just believe in your skills and let God do the rest.
What’s your proudest moment as a songwriter?
I think creating this album is my proudest moment. It’s a very fulfilling experience. It’s a dream come true!

Yes. New songs and album hopefully for next year.
