LA Music Review | Art, stories and advice
Upbeat, relatable, and captivating!

Hi Humprey, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
I’m Humprey, an 18-year-old musician from the Philippines. I release my music independently. I also write, compose, mix and master all my songs. Most of my songs talk about my love experiences.
It’s fun sharing these, knowing someone can also relate to them. I’m proud of my songs, especially of my lyrics. The meaning behind every song is worth sharing with the world.

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
This song was inspired by my past recent relationship lyrically. While on the music and production side, it was inspired by “It’s Not Living” by The 1975.
What is your vision for this song? What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
I want this song to spread the joy in music—where people can enjoy, relate and vibe. I also want to tell my audience that they are not the only ones who experience the hardships of a relationship.
What is your favorite part of the song?
My favorite parts of this song are the lyrics, especially the Chorus part, the vibe, and the groove!
You gave your heart
For me to hear it pound
Only when there are people around
Privately we’re not each other’s
And it seems
Like we’re just one of those
Television love teams
Anything else we should know about it?
I wrote the lyrics for the chorus part in just around 5 minutes! But, it’s hard to find the right vibe, so I probably arranged it ten times before I was satisfied with it.
