Filipino pop artist Tyron Montero perseveres in courtship with “Huwag Sana”

Hi Tyron, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.

Tyron Montero is a pop artist, singer, songwriter, vlogger, and director. Montero began his career in 2018 with his first label Manda Rhyme Records. He ended his contract with Manda Rhyme Records in 2019 and signed with Creative Records, where he produced his second album, Brave. He began progressing in his career after releasing these albums: Legend (2019), Brave (2020), and Tyron M. (2021).

He received numerous accolades throughout his career—six Indie Musicians Music Awards (IMMA) and one from Filipino Association Independent Music Awards (FAIMA). Montero has amassed four Gold Singles and two Gold Albums. His 2023 IMMA-nominated Album, Warmhearted Man, was IRIA Certified Gold only one day after its release and has logged over 42.5 thousand streams worldwide.

Montero has a total of five top ten debuts thus far, beginning with his third single from the album, Tyron M. (2021), Larawan (2020) debuted at number two and his first No. 1 single on his fourth studio album, Warmhearted Man (2023), Huwag Sana ft. Mark June Galang (2022) in Soundfyr’s Philippines Top 10 Charts, which quickly become one of Montero’s biggest songs of 2022 and holds the title for the longest-reigning No. 1 on the chart and second to lead it for double-digits – spending a total of eleven weeks at the top of the chart.

Congrats on the release! Who was your inspiration or influence in songwriting?

Released on October 1, 2022. I’m inspired by my one of my biggest influence in music, Unique Salonga, especially in terms of how he writes songs with great rhythm.

What is your vision for this song?

If you’re courting, don’t give up easily because girls appreciate men who are consistent in showing their genuine love and effort to win their hearts.

What is your favorite part of this song?

My favorite part of this song is the Chorus part.
