Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?

Released on February 17, 2023. Nananalangin sa Langit (Praying to Heavens) is a love song I wrote last year which speaks to those who are still waiting and praying for their significant other. Most of the time, we fall in love and get hurt. It’s hard to take a risk again on love.

After being heartbroken, we tend to focus more on our goals, on improving ourselves. Along the way, we will realize that we are now ready to take a chance on love again. Some say you have to wait but it’s always best to ask and pray to God about it.

What is your vision for this song? What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?

I decided to pitch this song to one of the rising young indie bands in the Philippines, Glottis V, because I envisioned this to be interpreted by a younger artist/band.

I hope that “Nananalangin sa Langit” will be a theme song for those who are still single and who constantly pray for God’s leading to find “The One.”

As for the lessons, there is always a perfect time for everything—even in love. Only God knows what’s best for us, so we should keep our faith that love will eventually find us.

What is your favorite part of this body of work?

I love everything on how Glottis V interpreted and produced this song.

I have two favorites, one is the Chorus part. This is an honest confession that one is now ready to love.

Nananalangin sa langit
Pagtagpuin ang ating landas
Patatahanin ang isip
Di maulit ang nakaraan
Sa iyong pagdating ako ay handa na.

I love the blending (harmony) of Glottis V on the Bridge part:

Handa ng magmahal
Handa ng sumugal
Handa ng tawirin ang mundo (kasama ka)
….

Anything else we should know about it? Future releases?

Glottis V is now working on the music video for Nananalangin sa Langit, and I’m really excited about it!

I recently performed with Archie Salvador for Indie Nights at 121 Restaurant, Alegro Center, Makati City last April 1. This event was headed by Night Shifters Productions in partnership with Singer Songwriters Philippines (SiSoPHI).

On April 30, I’m one of the featured artists at Ladies’ Indie Songwriters Night at Scream Bar, Quezon City.

I’m also part of a praise and worship album by Songwriters United, to be released under KDR Music House probably on the 2nd quarter this year.

I’m also working on two songs to be included on my upcoming album. Follow me and Glottis V band on our socials for more updates.
