There’s something extra exciting about seeing Filipino music become part of a big animated adventure, and Forgotten Island brings plenty of that energy.
The film features a star-studded voice cast including H.E.R., Liza Soberano, Dave Franco, Manny Jacinto, Jenny Slate, Jo Koy, Dolly de Leon, Ronny Chieng, and Lea Salonga. But for Filipino music fans, the soundtrack is definitely one of the treats. It includes BINI’s “A Parallel World,” SB19’s “Mga Kababayan,” H.E.R. and Liza Soberano’s “BRB” and “Jerk in the Box,” Sophia Laforteza’s “Never Tear Us Apart,” and several songs featuring Lea Salonga.
With its mix of pop, emotional moments, and Filipino-inspired sounds, the music gives the movie an extra layer of personality. It’s the kind of soundtrack that makes you want to stay through the credits and listen a little longer.
