Global, connected and full of surprises!

What happens when a singer refuses to let setbacks silence her?
For Gigi De Lana, the answer is simple: she keeps singing.
At 31, Gigi has blossomed into more than a powerful vocalist. She has become a performer with her own identity, charm, confidence, and unmistakable stage presence. Having been featured several times here at LA Music Review, it has been inspiring to watch her journey from a talented singer to an artist who continues to discover what she is capable of.
But her journey was never an overnight success.
Before the spotlight became brighter, Gigi experienced rejection at auditions, financial struggles, and the difficult reality of helping her mother through cancer. She was also faced with the uncertainty of the pandemic, when live performances suddenly disappeared. Yet instead of giving up on music, she and her band found another way forward.
And that is where The Gigi Vibes became such an important part of her story.
The group, which began with wedding and debut performances, became a source of growth for Gigi not only as a singer but also as a person. During the pandemic, their livestreams gave audiences a place to enjoy music while also opening doors for Gigi and the band. Her rendition of Roselle Nava’s “Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita” became a major viral moment and helped introduce her powerful voice to an even wider audience.

Who could have imagined that a difficult season would become the beginning of something much bigger?
Gigi did not remain the singer known only for covers. She eventually released original music, including her self-titled debut album, and explored acting as well. She appeared in Four Sisters Before the Wedding and took on a lead role in Hello Heart.
And she continues to grow.
In 2026, Gigi collaborated with Sponge Cola on “Naghihilom,” bringing her emotional vocals into the band’s alternative-rock sound. She was also part of Ryan Cayabyab’s Unang Siklab LIYAB, sharing the stage with some of the country’s respected performers.
So, what does Gigi hope for next?
She wants room to explore. More original songs, acting, dancing, theater, and different musical styles are part of the possibilities she is embracing. Rather than allowing people to put her in just one box, Gigi wants to discover how far she can go as an artist.
And perhaps that is what makes her story so inspiring.
Gigi’s strength is not simply in reaching the high notes. It is in continuing to rise after being knocked down. It is in learning, evolving, taking chances, and refusing to let rejection define her.
What can we learn from Gigi De Lana?
Sometimes, the door does not open when we expect it to. Sometimes, we have to keep performing, keep creating, and keep believing until the right door finally appears.
Gigi found some of those doors through Gigi Vibes. Others came through television, acting, original music, collaborations, and the audiences who continued to believe in her.
Today, she is not simply proving that she can sing.
She is proving that an artist can keep growing, reinventing herself, and becoming more fully who she was meant to be.
And perhaps the best part of Gigi De Lana’s story is that she is still writing it.
