Raw, honest and full of emotions!

Have you ever cared for someone so much that you are willing to stay even when things get rough?
That is what I felt while listening to “Bagyo” by almostsundayy, an alternative pop/rock indie band from General Trias, Cavite, Philippines.
One thing that stood out to me was the rawness of the vocals. It feels honest and unfiltered, as if the singer is simply letting his emotions speak. There is something about that kind of delivery that makes a song feel more personal. It does not have to be perfect to make you feel something.
What does “Bagyo” really tell us? For me, it is about having strong feelings for someone and wanting to be there for that person, even when things get complicated. The lyrics talk about emotions that are difficult to control, a quiet sky that gets disturbed by a storm, and the feeling of being sorry for bringing that storm into someone’s life. At the same time, there is a sense of closeness and willingness to stay, even when the outcome is uncertain.

I also like how the lyrics use the storm as a way of expressing emotions. Sometimes, we cannot help how we feel, and even when we try to hold back, our feelings find their way out. Have you ever felt that way about someone?
Formed in June 2026, almostsundayy draws inspiration from the members’ personal musical preferences. The band is composed of Mois on vocals, Adi, Gama, and Denji on guitars, Sam on bass, and Jojo on drums.
With “Bagyo,” almostsundayy brings a sound that feels personal and relatable. For me, the song is a reminder that caring for someone is not always easy. Sometimes, it means facing the storm, accepting the uncertainty, and being willing to stay for someone who matters.
