LA Music Review | Art, stories and advice
Hopeful, romantic and full of positivity!

Hi welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
I’m a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and engineer.
I grew up in Cleveland, OH. After graduating from Cleveland State University, I moved to LA to go to Musician’s Institute for drumming and to pursue my musical career. I focused on drumming for a number of years and then ended up transitioning to a singer-songwriter and an artist. Ironically my work as a live sound engineer at music venues like Room 5, Molly Malone’s, Genghis Cohen, and Hotel Cafe, not only exposed me to songwriting, but allowed me to fall in love with the whole process, and ultimately shaped me as songwriter and an artist.

I absolutely love creating music, composing, producing, and writing songs. Each element of a song adds its own feeling and flavor. It’s such a cool experience to watch my song evolve from a simple melodic hook, riff, or poetic lyric to an arranged piece, and finally to a finished, fully produced song. Each musical choice can completely change the feel and emotion of the song. I try to keep the integrity of the initial musical spark, while expanding on it and support it.
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released on October 8, 2021. Initially ‘Sunrise’ was inspired by my gratitude and deep love for my significant other. It evolved into gratitude for life, wanting to live in the moment and hold on to it, and wanting another perfect day with that person.
What is your vision for this song?
I hope it inspires people to hug their loved ones, to pay attention to each other, show affection, and appreciate one another. Not just that, but I hope it encourages people to appreciate each day, moment, each sunrise, and realize that life and love are gifts that we should acknowledge, embrace, and celebrate.

What is your favorite part of this body of work?
That’s hard to say. I put so much meticulous detail and time into every aspect of the lyrics, music, and song. But I guess if I had to pick something, there are two things that stand out. Just before mixing I added one more element that really gave the song a cool vibe; the lo-fi sound in the verses. Also, I love the riser at the end of the bridge going into the chorus. It gives it a nice lift and build.

Anything else we should know about it? Future releases?
A music video for ‘Sunrise’ will most likely be released in the next few weeks!! It was shot in Kauai, Hawaii!
Also, I have more songs in the works and plan to release a single every 2-3 months. So be sure to follow me so you know when I release new music.
