Hi Nico, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.

I’m Nico Frayn and I’m your new “best Fraynd”.

I’m a singer-songwriter whose main genres are folk pop and acoustic ballad. My songs are based on personal experiences—in hopes of having my listeners feel like they can relate as if they’re talking to a friend (or rather, “Fraynd”).

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?

My song “Kakampi” was written in 2020…

and was inspired by a dear friend who was experiencing anxiety and depression. Since I couldn’t be there for that friend physically (due to the pandemic), I thought of writing a song to comfort her and others who are facing tough silent battles.

What is your vision for this song?

I wanted my audience to feel that they don’t have to go through their challenges by themselves.

Whenever they’re in pain or during a difficult time, I want them to know that they are not alone. There will always be a “kakampi” who will be there for them.

What is your favorite part of this body of work?

One specific line hits the most for me. “Lahat ng sugat mo’y maghihilom din“. It’s a message of hope that, after some time, whatever pain we went through in the past will heal eventually at our own pace.

Anything else we should know about it? Future releases? Upcoming events?

Watch out for my upcoming gigs this coming 2023.

My label Cre8Music Records has been hard at work in helping me spread the message of our music. You can check out my social media pages for updates regarding my schedules.

I also have an EP in the works and a couple of singles that will come out during the first half of 2023.
