LA Music Review | Art, stories and advice
Heartbreaking and truly captivating!

Saksi ang Langit, a song penned by Zel Bautista and Jet Danao of December Avenue dropped their heart-wrenching music video last December 17, 2022.
It was created by 8th Street Cinema and produced by December Avenue & Koi Bussala, with direction by Andrei Antonio.
As the description on the MV says, Para sa mga taong unang pumili sa ‘tin, translated as “For those who first loved us”.
Make sure to prepare some tissues before watching the music video. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. The following MV is a tear-jerker!
The music video delivered a powerful message of unconditional love between a father and a child.
It’s beautiful beyond words. I love the way it conveyed a heartfelt story. Everything is on point, from the acting to the cinematic scenes that highlight the song’s message.

One of the scenes that touched me is when the father feeds his daughter, giving her the fried egg leaving him with only rice to eat.
“Mas pipiliin kong ibigay lahat
Pati itong aking mundo.”
The father sacrificed so much just to provide for her daughter amidst all the adversities of being a single parent after her wife left him. The daughter returned the favor by studying well and eventually her efforts bore fruit and she got the life that she wanted.
The last scene, where they dance while crying, is also a touching moment—her daughter’s wedding. Their love stood the test of time.
Congratulations December Avenue!
This music video will be one of the timeless classics that Filipinos will remember.
