LA Music Review | Art, stories and advice
Pop, edgy, and haunting!

Hi Astrid, welcome back to LA Music Review! Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released on February 9, 2023. It’s great to be back! I’m Astrid Black. I have a new song out “Law of Karma.” This song is about reincarnation—the origin of karma. But to make things short and because reincarnation is not biblical, the Law of Karma is a song about typical karma that we are familiar with, “You reap what you sow.”

What is your vision for this song? What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
This song teaches us the lesson of always doing things right. Treat people right. Practice the Golden Rule: Do not do unto others what you don’t want others to do unto you. This is what the song is about—karma. So don’t do things that you will regret later on. Don’t do bad things to people because karma will haunt you.
What is your favorite part of this body of work?
The whole song was my favorite because my Pakistani producer and friend Austad brought it to life! I want to give credit to him. He is amazing, talented, and very kind. I’m really blessed and grateful.
Anything else we should know about? Future releases?
Yes! I have an upcoming single, “Judas,” which focuses on betrayal and shame. Watch out for it because it’s lit! Thanks to my producer!
