Hi Hya, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.

Hi! I’m Hya Cayamanda, an independent recording artist and songwriter.

I already released three singles, “Mahal Kasi Kita” (2021), “Di Pa Ba OK ‘To” (2022), and my current single is “This is U and ME.”

My greatest influence is my father, Tito Cayamanda, a composer & Vice President of FILSCAP. Some of his hit songs are:

• Till My Heartaches End – Ella May Saison
• Someone’s Always Saying Goodbye – Allona
• Bakit Di Totohanin – Carol Banawa
• Only Me & You – Donna Cruz
• More Than Before – Golden Canedo
• Pabuhat – composed by Tito Cayamanda, Yael Yuzon, Yumi Lacsamana, Jonathan Manalo

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?

Released on February 26, 2023. I got inspired writing this song using my love story with my husband. I was also greatly influenced by the musicality and songs of Paramore, specifically, “Still Into You.”

What is your vision for this song? What lessons would you like to impart to your audience?

Just write down your thoughts spot-on and get creative!

What is your favorite part of this body of work?

My fave is the breakdown part!

Anything else we should know about? Future releases?

None as of the moment. I will be focusing on my studies first. Maybe I will release a music video of the song sooner or later.
