Hi Maharlikha Worship, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.

Maharlikha Worship is the worship ministry of Word International Ministries Ortigas church based in Ortigas, Pasig City, Philippines. Our team consists of worship leaders and musicians who passionately serve God in the church. Their goal is to uplift people and let them experience the love of Jesus through the power of worship.

We believe that worship ministry is an incredible blessing to see life from God’s point of view instead of our own. We are sharing the Word Of God through the message of the songs that we create. This track was written by Mary Grace Vidad (Praise and Worship Ministry Head of WIN Ortigas) and Maharlikha Worship. It was sung by Gift Marjos Vidad, her daughter, and Josiah Abrogar, one of the members of the Maharlikha Worship Team.

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?

The song is a sinner’s prayer asking for God’s forgiveness, grace, mercy, and redemption.

Released on March 28, 2023. The main inspiration for the song comes from the book of Romans 5:8 in the Bible which says – “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this. While we were still sinners Christ died for us“.

The song “Kahit Na Makasalanan” talks about God’s unconditional love for us and that He is not looking at our sins, He loves us just as we are and He wants to save and redeem us. It is a total surrender to a God who unconditionally loves us and just waiting for us to come to Him and ask Him to heal us from brokenness to make us whole again and change us from glory to glory.

What is your vision for this song? What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?

Our vision for this project is for the listeners to realize that nothing can be able to separate us from the love of God.

Our sins, or even death can’t do that. God’s love for us is unfathomable and unconditional. He will always accepts us no matter what as long as we are calling unto Him in humility with all of our hearts.

God is always there to forgive, accept us with open arms, and is willing to change our lives for the better. We love because He first loved us. He has given His life for us. What more would He not be able to give?

What is your favorite part of this body of work?

Our favorite part is the bridge when it says ‘”Umaawit, nagpupuri kahit na makasalanan, handa ng pakinggan ka, salamat Sa’yong kaligtasan.” It is because this is the part in which we tell God I am ready for You God, I want You and I need You in my life, and thank Him for the salvation that we have, the salvation that we do not deserve but He willingly gives.

Anything else we should know about it? Future releases?

The Lord spoke in my heart to look for that brother in Christ after 20 years of separation. I found him in Facebook last January 2023 and began communicating with him again. I met with him in the hospital in Mandaluyong in that same month where he is taking care of an auntie who is confined in that hospital.

When we spoke, I prayed for him and told him that God placed him in my heart to tell him that He love him and he is just waiting for him to come back to his faith. We plan to meet again and attend our church service once his auntie got out of the hospital. He said he missed the days when we are serving the Lord together along with other brothers and sisters in Christ. I am really happy and relieved to see a lost brother in Christ longing to come back to his faith in God.

After that, I messaged him again, but he did not reply. I only found out that the day we saw each other was the last day we can see each other because the day the Lord spoke to me to look for him is a sign that the Lord wants him to come back because he will soon be taken away permanently in this life.

The song was also inspired from the life of a dear brother in Christ who happened to be my mentor in Praise and Worship team during my early years as a Christian. He turned away from his faith due to many trials and problems. He became a drug addict. After years of being in the facility, he soon recovered.

That’s how much God loves us. He will do anything and everything to save us. To draw us to Him again, to give us a chance to regain our salvation that only God can provide. His grace is always sufficient, even to our death bed, God’s grace and mercy reaches us, and His love for us is everlasting.

So I wrote the song after I found out about his death. I plan to use it for evangelistic concerts of Maharlikha Worship in December. It’s reel has now gained 140k views in Facebook and most people are using it as music for their reels too. We received a lot of comments and messages from those who are ministered by that song. I pray that God will use it more to a broader audience especially for everyone who thinks their sins can’t be forgiven and that they are a failure. May God allow this song to minister to them and make them feel that there is a God who forgives and loves us so much to die on our behalf to save us from eternal punishment.
