Hi N D Martin, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
Hello! I’m Neil (N D Martin), a singer-songwriter formerly with a secular alternative rock band called The Violent Whispers.
When I became a Christian, I left the band to pursue Christian-oriented music. “Flying High” is from my debut album From Fear to Faith which can now be heard on Spotify.

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
My inspiration when I wrote this song is to track my journey to becoming a Christian.
Released on February 13, 2023. The first half of the album is pre-conversion, with the rest focused on my journey with Christ.
What is your vision for this song? What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
I guess my hope was to write music which would have a Gospel focus but which musically would draw on secular influences. My thinking was that there is lots of Christian music for Christians but less Christian music for non believers.

What is your favorite part of this body of work?
Writing and recording definitely. Flying High has been one of the best-received songs from the album.
Anything else we should know about? Future releases?
I’m currently working on a second album, the plan being to move away from the classic rock moves of the debut album and towards a more spare acoustic singer songwriter album.
