LA Music Review | Art, stories and advice
Soulful and uplifting!

Hi Chyrsann, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
With her debut solo album, Cover Us now available, Moore continues to share anointed and heart-gripping music. Her current single, “Cover Us,” is a passion-infused follow-up to her recent releases “Jesus, I’m Depending on You,” “Thank You Jesus”, and “O Give Thanks.”
Growing up in the Church of God in Christ, Moore developed her musical expertise by playing and singing along with her family in the church. Still very much connected to her roots, she serves as the Music Director of Redeem Enrichment Ministries in Joliet, IL.

While desiring to motivate and encourage listeners to push past failure to fulfill their destiny in Christ, Moore has emerged as a heralded vocalist ministering alongside such artists as Percy Gray, VaShawn Mitchell, Judith McAllister, and others.
Moore earned a degree in music from Valley City State University. She was honored in Inspiration 1390 AM Salutes Women in Music, nominated as the Key of Gospel Music Awards’ Traditional Artist of the Year, awarded Female Vocalist of the Year at the 6th Annual Avidity Awards, and Musical Artist of the Year at the P.E.P.S. Awards.
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
The inspiration for this release came during the pandemic. Although things are much better, during the inception of the pandemic, I dealt with the feelings of fear, worry, and even anxiety as a believer in Christ. Along with the pandemic, we dealt with police brutality and social unrest.
I prayed to God and asked Him to help me and help me express something valuable through my music that would help other believers and non-believers.
I read the scripture in Psalm 91 and the song was birthed from my conversation with God. This song is really a prayer you can pray everyday over your family, your children, and your neighborhood. It’s a prayer for the whole world. This prayer is “Cover US!!”
What is your vision for this song? What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
My vision for this project has always been to encourage and uplift people.
As an independent artist, I love to gain more visibility. I hope my songs will reach audiences I don’t usually minister to. I want it to crossover to other genres, nationalities, and ethnic groups. A message of hope and encouragement should be for everyone!

What is your favorite part of this body of work?
My favorite part of this body of work is the synergy between the music and the words. I had the awesome opportunity to work with one of the greatest musicians and producers, by the name of, Rodney East. Working with him was a pure joy. I am still amazed by the end result of this song.
Anything else we should know about it? Future releases?
I believe that “Cover Us” will be a song that remains relevant for ages to come.
There will be future releases from me. Right now, I will be working on completing a choir album with my church. I hope to release new music by the end of this year.
