Hi Direk Leo, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
Hi! I’m Direk Leo, a multi-talented musician, music minister, director, professional singer, performer, songwriter (FILSCAP), artist, and educator.
I’ve been in the music industry since 1995. I teach voice and hande children and adult choirs. In schools, I handled grade school to college students’ music subjects and courses.
I also taught Glee clubs and individual singers who competed in various school singing competitions. I’ve been a resource speaker on various topics in music—music ministry, vocal training, choir commitment, choral conducting, stage performance, and songwriting held in different churches, schools, and other places in the country.
I’ve been a Music & Arts teacher for eight years and worked as a School Administrator for two years.
My songwriting journey started during my college years in the 90’s. I tried to enter the music industry after I graduated in 1993, but it was not that successful as I hoped it would be. Not until this year (2023), when I finally released my songs via digital music streaming platforms. 2023 is the resumption of my songwriting life, and I thank God for it.
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?

What is your vision for this song?
I wrote this song during the ’90s (1995, I guess). Well, I see a song being played over the radio and enjoyed by the old and young alike because of its lyrics and rhythm.
As for the lesson, a person can remain the same regardless of any situation as long as God is in their midst and true love binds them.
What is your favorite part of this body of work?
Arranging the music
