LA Music Review | Art, stories and advice
Fun, upbeat and full of fireworks!

Hi The Inside Out, welcome to LA Music Review! Tell us a little bit about you and your music?
We’re the alt-indie rock band The Inside Out…
We’re four musicians from Connecticut, and we love writing and performing as much as we can! We consist of James Howard, John Landino, Zach Stout, and Andi Wright.
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Our initial inspiration for our new single “Mr. Arrogant” was a fun, upbeat song to be included on our next record [Road Trip].
We were jamming together after a rehearsal at around 2AM and James showed us a little guitar idea he was working on. Next thing you know, we were writing things out on a whiteboard and recording the song.

What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
Sometimes when you’re working on a large project it becomes way too easy to get over stressed and overwhelmed. Sometimes you don’t even realize it. This could be a new song, a new band, it could be a new job, and can even be a new relationship, or friendship.
Whatever it may be, it’s okay to take a step back from anything and regroup. It’s important to gather patience and remember why what you’re trying to do, or accomplish, was so meaningful to you in the first place.

What is your favorite part of this body of work?
The funky post chorus after the bridge.
It’s absolutely so fun for all of us to perform live. It’s also a great part of the song for the audience to really get lost in and show off their dancing prowess.
Future releases? Upcoming events?
We’ll definitely be releasing more singles in the coming months. We also have an East Coast and Midwest tour we’re planning for October. And we’ll be releasing a music video for “Mr. Arrogant” soon as well!
