My name is Brooke Waters, an independent artist who mixes R&B and Opera to create a new sound. I write based on personal experiences and pour all my feelings and emotions into my music!

Congrats on the release! Who were your inspiration when you were writing this project?
A lot of Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and Ari Lennox.
What is your vision for this project? What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
Released on December 31, 2022. This project is really close to me. I wrote this coming out of a really toxic and mentally/physically abusive relationship, so this album is like a personal diary put in a song.
As the album grew and developed, so did I. I’m hoping this project will be able to help others who may be in the position I was in and find a way out. Along with maybe letting someone know that they aren’t alone.
What is your favorite part of this album?
I loved creating “How High”! It was probably the most fun I had in the studio, and the song with the most growth! When I first recorded this song, it was in the back of my car! Then I got a mini studio set up and re-recorded it to studio quality.
Anything else we should know about it? Future releases?
I’m just really excited for the future! And what is has to bring on this beautiful path of music.
